DISCUSSIONS CENTERED ON THE OVERALL PROGRESS OF K-WASH PROGRAM
An engagement meeting on the progress of the Kenya Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (K-WASH) Program in Murang’a County was today chaired by Eng.Sao Alima, Water Secretary from the State Department for Water and Sanitation. The session brought together the leadership of the Murang’a County Government led by His Excellency Governor Dr. Irungu Kang’ata.
The discussions centered on the overall progress of the K-WASH Program in the county, with a focus on supporting Water Service Providers to enhance performance efficiency, reviewing compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, and strengthening the implementation of Performance Improvement Action Plans (PIAPs). The team also engaged the Governor on priority projects aimed at improving commercial viability, while highlighting both the challenges faced and milestones achieved so far in Murang’a.
Governor Kang’ata expressed satisfaction with the program’s impact in the county, noting that his administration will continue deliberating on the way forward to ensure the progress of K-WASH remains on course.
