IMPLEMENTATION OF KENYA WATER SANITATION & HYGIENE PROGRAM(K-WASH) IN NANDI COUNTY

The implementation of the Kenya Water Sanitation and Hygiene Program (K-WASH) in Nandi County continued today with an engagement session involving Tachasis Water Service Providers (WSPs). The meeting was convened to review Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLI) 6, 7, and 8, focusing on the verification of data submitted by Tachasis WSPs regarding the bankability of projects under the program. The verification exercise involved an assessment of financial models, performance improvement action plans (PIAPs), and results from previously funded projects. This process is key in determining the capacity of Tachasis to achieve higher operational cost coverage recovery (OCCR) throughout the program’s duration. Through such engagements, the K-WASH program continues to strengthen Nandi County’s efforts in expanding access to safe and reliable water supply, in line with the national goal of universal water access by 2030.
