Public Health Officers (PHOs) from Nandi and Bomet counties commenced an engaging Climate-Resilient Community-Led Total Sanitation (CR-CLTS) training aimed at accelerating the elimination of open defecation.

Day 1 of the five-day training provided an introduction to the training, including an overview of sanitation and hygiene coverage, the objectives of the training, and an introduction to the K-WASH programme. Through interactive sessions, the officers explored various sanitation and hygiene approaches being implemented within their counties, laying a strong foundation for context-specific learning. The training, graced by county leadership, underscored the critical role of county leadership in achieving sanitation outcomes, particularly within the PforR framework.
