TECHNICAL SUPPORT MISSION IN MIGORI COUNTY

The Kenya Water Sanitation and Hygiene Program (K-WASH) today carried out a joint technical support mission in Migori County, engaging with the Nyasare Water Service Providers (WSPs). The meeting focused on Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs) 6, 7 and 8, with the session dedicated to reviewing and verifying data submitted by Nyasare on the bankability of projects under the program. As part of the verification process, the team assessed the financial models within the Performance Improvement Action Plans (PIAPs) as well as results from previously funded projects. This evaluation is critical in determining Nyasare’s capacity to achieve higher Operational Cost Coverage Recovery (OCCR) throughout the program’s implementation period. A summary presentation by Nyasare Water and Sanitation PLC formed the highlight of the engagement, underscoring both the progress made and the challenges that remain. These insights are expected to strengthen efforts towards improving the delivery of water, sanitation, and hygiene services in Migori County.
